I have an Englightened Equipment 0 degree 850 fill power down quilt that has been my primary bag for camping for the past 5 years. The quilt design unfortunately lets too much cold air in and I find I can’t use it much below freezing without that cold air creating discomfort.I bought this OVMO regular 0F rated bag on a customer return deal at half price to have a bag that would work better when the temps drop below freezing. We are fortunately/unfortunately done with our really cold weather, so I haven’t had a chance to test it out in deep sub-freezing temps, but I have tried it out and have some opinions.***FIT***I wanted a rectangular bag because I am a side sleeper and need to pull one leg up to use as an outrigger. Mummy bags are too confining and I can’t get a good night’s sleep in them. The width of this bag worked well for me (5’10”, 170lbs). I could sleep on my side and pull a leg up comfortably. The length, however, is another story. The regular is supposed to fit up to 6′, but it just barely fits me at 5’10”. The problem is the draft collar is set too low in the bag. With my feet pushing against the bottom of the bag, the draft collar is below my shoulders. There is then extra length in the hood that is not usable. It seems to be designed for a 6 foot person with a short torso and verrry long neck. Since I sleep on my side, I bend my knees slightly anyway and can fit, but if you sleep with your legs straight and are taller than 5’8 or so, consider going up to the long size.***SIZE and WEIGHT***The weight of this bag kind of surprised me. The 4lbs on the listing doesn’t seem like that much for a 0 degree bag until I got it in my hands and compared it to the Englightened Equipment quilt. It is heavy for an 800fp, 0 degree down bag. It also doesn’t compress down all that small. It is a bit of a fight to fit it in the sleeping bag compartment of my 85L backpack. My 0 degree quilt seems to have a much better warmth to weight ratio and a better compressibility ratio. If this bag is comfortable at 10 degrees this will be acceptable. If it struggles at lower temps, then I will come back and take off another star for this.***FEATURES***The bag has a draft collar with a drawstring, though it is positioned too low. The hood is nice, holds my inflatable pillow well, is detachable, and has its own drawstring. You can also cinch up the top of the bag around your neck with a drawstring. All those drawstrings do tend to get jumbled up, though.I really like the tabs for running a strap around your pad to keep it from slipping off. Since I roll around a lot at night, these are a necessity to keep me on the pad. They only included one strap, though there are tabs for connecting up to 3 straps to the bag. I plan to add a second strap. There is a zipper at the bottom that you could use to let your feet out. I doubt I will use that much and would rather save the weight and size and eliminate that zipper. The main zipper isn’t all that smooth and tends to catch the material, like most sleeping bags.It came with a compression sack and a storage bag, though I think the storage bag is a bit tight and use a larger bag to store it without compressing the down. One missing feature that would be nice to have is an interior pocket for storing your phone or other small things at night that you want to keep warm.***CONCLUSION***I give this bag 4 stars for now based on the $104 price I paid for a customer return. Had I paid full price, I might drop it down to 3 stars as there is a lot more competition with excellent specs in that price range. Overall, this is a decent bag for side sleepers that is held back by some odd design choices, particularly in the fit area. I do still need to evaluate the really cold weather performance. I will come back and update this review when I have had a chance to do that, as that will either make or break this bag.
