Update:It worked for about 7 weeks. I purchased 2 more. Eventually I will luck out and get one that lasts for an extended period of time. The original Bosh switch lasted for 7 years.2015 Fusion LE 2000. Engine Light Code P1450Quality:Outside appearance of the vacuum valve seems comparable with the original.Fit:Exact dimensions, mounting and connections as the original valve.Ease of Install:I removed the dust cover on top of the engine, and the air filter duct that goes across the top of the engine from the air filter box. I learned by watching videos.I had to learn how to disconnect the electric connector. As I examined the new valve, I saw what I had to do to get the connector off the old valve. Need a small flat blade screw driver.Someone had said in one of the earlier reviews that it’s very difficult to get the front heat shrink vac tube off the old valve. Very true. Like he did, I cut it out. I used a serrated kitchen knife.I swabbed out the end of the cut vac tube with an alcohol saturated Q-tip.I used about 2” of 3/8” rubber fuel line (Auto Parts Store) and 2 hose clamps to connect the front (outlet) of the valve.Before I connected the vac tube to the new vac valve with the small piece of fuel hose, I coated the outlet of the new valve and the vacuum tube with vacuum grease (that I use on the strainer basket of my swimming pool pump). Hopefully this will help guard against vac leaks. Then I installed the fuel hose and hose clamps.Put it all back together and drove to the gas station and filled up with gasoline. It started and idled like it should, and on the drive back home….no more farting noises. The P code clears and hasn’t returned.Value for the money:Now that I know how to change the vac valve, if it will last two or three years, I’ll just install another $17 vac valve.Durability:Who knows. This has worked for 30 minutes so far. Update: Worked for 48 hours now.
