1973 Ampeg GET-100 Stud. The Stud! How cool is that? These dont come around very often, and every time one does, its hard not to stop and appreciate just how right they are. Its got that SG energy like someone drew one from memory and somehow made it cooler in the process. Built in Japan by the same crew behind Tokai, these are sleepers in all the best ways. This one is about as honest as they comeclean, original, and not saddled with a bunch of stories to explain away. All original parts are intact, right down to the electronics, which are working exactly as they should. The upper strap button has been moved to a much more comfortable spot (a welcome upgrade), and while its currently wearing a set of vintage-style replacement knobs, the originals are safely included. There are a few dings here and there, but nothing beyond what youd expect from a well-kept 70s piece. No signs of abuse, just normal life. The neck is straight, the truss rod works both directions, fretwear is minimal, and its playing great after a fresh setup and new strings.
